Rebecca’s practice includes municipal law, both as an appointed public official and in private practice.

She previously was Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Poughkeepsie where she served as defense of the city in proceedings before the New York Public Employment Relations Board and New York State Division of Human Rights. She handled all legal issues for the Poughkeepsie Housing Authority and prosecuted civil service employee discipline issues under Civil Service Law.

In private practice she represented public school districts and counseled municipal clients on land use, zoning and general business matters. Her private practice experience also includes student discipline and real estate matters. Rebecca was recognized by the Dutchess Regional Chamber of Commerce as a “40 Under 40” in 2009. The award honors forty people under the age of 40 who have shown a strong commitment to the Hudson Valley.
